rFactor Skins
Even though rFactor came before GTR2, I've long been playing rFactor. I never got to design skins for it until recently. I gave up on rFactor 2 simply because I couldn't get into it. And with so many mods made for the first rFactor, this is the perfect opportunity to make skins for various mods. I had never created a standalone car in rFactor before. So I had to educate myself on how to make one. Once I eventually did make one, I learned of what it actually took to make a standalone car. rFactor also allows you to use alternate skins for cars. I practiced that aspect of skinning and was successful.
If there was something I had to learn with rFactor skinning, you have to reduce the opacity of cars. If you don't tone down the opacity of car skins in rFactor, your cars can appear overly shiny. Opacity in the range of 25% to 50% will suffice in most cases. If you do want parts of your car to appear more shiny than overs, it is best you only keep the opacity high on certain layers or elements you want to appear shiny on the car.
The safest way to prevent extra glossy textures is to add a Layer Mask. That is, if you are using GIMP. Set the Layer Mask to the image's Alpha Channel. This will allow the car's graphics to not be overly glossy when used in rFactor. Then, be sure to save the DDS file as any format other than BC1/DXT1. Using BC3/DXT5 is fairly safe.
EXTRA NOTE: I don't drink or smoke; and so with the liveries I present, I choose not to feature liveries of alcoholic beverages or tobacco.
DISCLAIMER: All vehicles and sponsors are all registered trademarks of each respective manufacturer and company.
Anyhow, here is my first rFactor skin:

rFactor: Panoz Esperante GTS
The Panoz GTS is a racing-spec machine from the American auto manufacturer Panoz. The Panoz mod for rFactor was designed by the rFactor creators themselves, Image Space Incorporated. One of my initial plans was to make a video featuring cars colored in Pizza Hut livery and set up an AI race. Since I had a lot to learn in practicing making cars for rFactor, I didn't go over the top in my design of this car. So this was the car I came up with to mark my first work with rFactor:
This is my first true rFactor skin. It is a Panoz GTS painted in Pizza Hut livery. I made a practice skin to use as an alternate skin after making this proper skin for this car. My efforts were successful. And therefore, I may consider making alternate liveries for certain cars if I choose to do so.
I will have more material to share in future edits. So make sure to Bookmark this site or something to keep up with the latest material.
Special Request!
I am considering offering my liveries for download. If there are any designs of mine you like, I will consider offering these liveries to various sites. I am considering the likes of NoGripRacing and RaceDepartment for my liveries. In addition, I am also considering rFactor Central for rFactor skins.
Again- let me know if any of my designs interest you and that you would want to download. Thank you for your cooperation!
